NAMper is a free guitar amp and effects app for iOS, developed by Evgeny Stepanov. It has no analytics, no advertising and no trackers, and it does not collect, store or share any personal data.

Audio

All audio processing happens entirely on your device. Your guitar signal, loops, samples, backing tracks and performance recordings never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them yourself. The microphone and audio-input permission is used only to process your instrument signal in real time.

TONE3000

NAMper can optionally connect to TONE3000 so you can browse and download amp profiles. Signing in happens in your browser directly with TONE3000; NAMper stores the resulting access token only on your device and uses it solely to call the TONE3000 API on your behalf. NAMper's developer receives none of this data. TONE3000's own privacy policy applies to your TONE3000 account.

Purchases

The optional tip jar uses Apple's StoreKit. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; NAMper never sees your payment details. Tips unlock nothing — they are voluntary support.

Files

Presets, NAM profiles, impulse responses, samples and recordings you import or create are stored in the app's local Documents folder on your device and are under your control.

Permissions

NAMper asks for exactly two things, and only when it needs them: the microphone, the first time you start the audio engine, and Bluetooth, the first time you pair a wireless MIDI pedal. There is no camera, photos, location or contacts access.
